Markus Schremb is a German-born photographer based in Enschede. With over 20 years behind the camera and a background in mechanical engineering, he sees the world through patterns, light, and emotion. Photography is his way of bringing order to chaos—to picture life in its most raw and beautiful form. Specializing in street photography, minimalism, and fine art, he focusses on black and white to strip images down to their essence—contrast, form, and feeling. Being a relentless observer, he finds depth in fleeting expressions, quiet spaces, and the unnoticed details that tell a story. A small excerpt of his photographic work will be on view at the location from June 5 to 26, i.e. not only during, but also before and after WAK 2026.
